If I wanted a list of “every player that I WILL NEVER consider” then I’d choose a public camp.
Awful advice, as is most statements that contain always or never.

Unlike TJ here, i am allocated a very limited budget. the last thing I want is to spend dollars on players that are easily available to everyone else.

And the second to the last thing you want is to know which players those are, right?

IMO, Public Camps aren't usually an optimal choice but in some situations they can be used. They are cheap (as low as $40 per player for one level) and if you are in the right situation they can show you a high # of targets.

I am by no means saying USE PUBLIC CAMPS ALOT but I think to totally dismiss them isn't right.

How many people use public camps? If everyone avoids them, there should actually be quite a bit of value to them, especially for D2 and D3.

I agree with the “thought” of this. But without being able to really know exact numbers, it’s hard to tell. From my experience, when I talk to coaches who are new, or not active in forum discussions, or haven’t reached out to mentors, it seems to me they all use the public camps. But obviously that’s not based on data. Just a pattern I see.

But i I understand what you mean, and if everyone avoids them, they’d have upside. I’m just not sure that’s the case.
