I've got a player I'll have to battle for. The scholarship is unlocked. And so is the Home Visits. The promises are not.

i'm going to offer promises and i'm prepared to go all in.

would it be a better idea to only offer like 4 or 5 visits, so everything unlocks. Then offer promises. Then the rest of the visits?

Or should i just throw the kitchen sink now, if i'm going to anyways? I always hear it's best to offer promises first. But is that true even if I have to wait another cycle?

Does the guy have the want to play pref? Then absolutely.

but what is the strategy behind doing the 4 or 5 HVs early? What are you thinking it will help you with?

Just unlocking the promises. 4 or 5 was just an example.

It took a lot to unlock the scholarship. I'm sure 2 visits would unlock the rest

Unless signing period started, i would not throw the sink yet so you can catch him off guard right by signing period.

I'm not literally. I'm trying to push a sim down. My question is strictly about the promises

If there's no threat to him signing soon, I'd do the 2 visits to unlock promises, promise, then throw the sink at him.

There's what i was looking for! Thank you

But can't you force a sim to "give up" basically? It's always seemed that way to me. Once I get them down below my level, it seems they quit pushing.

so I thought getting them knocked down early was beneficial. Rather than the "cross your fingers and hope it's enough"

What would it take to come from off the considering list and knock off a very high SIM?

Yup. Knock them down early and they will give up.

Lot of factors there. And i'm sure there's no set boundaries. But I've done it multiple times before. Seems to be, the better the player, the more effort is needed.

my answer is lots of effort. But I can't draw a line in the sand

Sims usually put about 25 app in a cycle. They will use HVs as needed but normally don’t unless they are battling. I’ve never seen a sim team go above 6 HVs. If just one sim is on a player usually three HVs knocks them off. If there are 2 you may need up to ten.
