Man Perimeter Defense Topic

I'm sure this is discussed on this forum, but I can't find it.

What attributes make an ideal perimeter defender in man at the D1 level?

I'm thinking SPD, DE, and ATH (as a multiplier), but I wonder what role BLK plays in playing D on the perimeter? Who's got thought?

It’s my opinion that blk is used when the opponent is making a shot in the paint. If the defender is using the ath/lp scoring equation it would be defended by his opponents ath/def/blk

I agree. A guard could have a very nice BLK rating and go an entire season without getting more than a few...because the program does not calculate blocking ability for a perimeter shot.
