Just drafted a great prospect who fell to me because his health rating is 20.

Would it make sense to keep him on bench for his minor league career so he doesn’t get hurt? Does not playing him impact rating growth?

Yes, not playing him will stunt his growth.
Get your medical budget to 20 mil. That way you don't have to worry about drafting players like this.
The odds of him suffering a longterm killer injury seem about the same as other players, but he's got increased odds of ten and fifteen day injuries, that kind of thing. But there's a stud pitcher in one of my leagues with 5 Health.

Here's the guy: Player Profile: Will Fried - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports. 8 Health.

Never pitched more than 105 innings in a season. Been on the 60-day nine times. Still got up to 84 Overall. Amazing splits.

Even guys with 100 health get injured. Player Profile: P.T. Fultz - Hardball Dynasty Baseball | WhatIfSports. My pitcher has had two long term injuries two seasons in a row and he had 100 health.
