There is something not well thought of. First, you get 23k, say you recruit close to home, it cost around 4,5 - 5,5 k to max out on a player, which means at top you can get 5 in, but mostly you will get 4. With all contested, even c players, a team like mine is sure to get three walk-on minimum, maybe more if I lose too many rolls or if other players go EES.

If you’re willing to have walkons on your roster, why aren’t you willing to have guys who need a couple seasons of development? I sign a couple of those players most years - and with less than 6 open scholarships. They can end up being very solid pieces of good teams, and I rarely have to invest visits in them.

Shoe : more than willing but they get contested by lower prestige, and they even max out on them.

Not all of them. And not when you invest a decent amount of early AP.

From experience, six at D1 is hard, but not impossible. Walk on route is not the worst ending either if you get at least three quality guys first. If you are in Part 2 with six to get, you really need to get a lucky break as well.
