It appears to me in this game, a lot of times in end of game situations, there are lots of odd outcomes. In my games i have an 8th man taking last minute shots. Or I had a freshman that had 0 FG attempts in the game, played around 2 min, but with no time on the clock in a tie game, he buries two FTs for the win.
I feel like the engine should give the last shots of the game to the highest distro player on your team that game. And i don't see any reason why that's not obvious to the programmers.
I don't think if you have 10 shots at the buzzer in a season, the highest distro will take all 10. Many factors, double teams, stamina issues, foul issues, probably many more. But in the same manner that it's programmed that a rebound is going to go to a player with a 99 REB a larger number of times than it will go to a player with a 62 REB, they could factor that in.
I don't know how the software operates. But they can easily add a "end of game" to it, where it aims to give shots to the higher distro players. I'm tired of looking at 78-77 scores and checking the play by play for an entertaining finish, only to see a bench freshman who is only on the floor because I offered him promised minutes, hit or miss game winners.
I've got the D2 version of Michael Jordan on my team, and in 2 seasons of him being outstanding, i'm yet to see him factor in on a breathtaking moment in games. Whether the outcome is good or bad.
Thoughts?
