Help with stamina/conditioning Topic

How do other coaches manage practice time for conditioning? I have a few players that have subtle lost stamina as they mature and am curious if I do not put enough practice effort towards it. I have a junior and senior that have each lost 3-5 points since freshman year, typically losing ratings in the offseason and then never fully recovering the losses in season. I have been using 15-20 practice minutes on conditioning, to no avail.

Yeah, that's the old STAMINA bug. For some reason, if a player loses points in conditioning when they are maxed out they can't get them back.

It’s only stamina which leads me to believe it was coded in by design. Who knows....

I’ve assumed it was by design and not a bug, but I can’t figure out what it’s for. Athleticism and stamina should have more growth potential than speed and durability in general; age advancement for 18-22 year olds naturally lends itself to bigger, stronger, and longer, but not to faster or quicker for most. Durability really shouldn’t be about “conditioning” at all, IMO. It should reflect wear and tear as the season goes on.

As I type this, it occurs to me that stamina drops can act as a way to make sure people can’t just dump conditioning once ath and spd are maxed, without any consequence. I guess it may serve a gameplay purpose that way, but it could be more intelligent.

Personally, I think stamina should go
down after the kids 21st birthday. Or if they live in a state with legal marijuana.
