Recruiting ? I don't think I have seen. Topic

Which recruit will improve IQ wise quickest, assuming GPA is 3.0 for both, and potentials are all equal? Will the recruit who has played man to man in High School, or the player who is looking for (preference for) man to man, but played a different defense in High School?

Among HS recruits, those who played man in HS will start a little higher, but usually only a handful of games worth. HS GPA (and I think maybe work ethic?) impacts how quickly he moves up, once he’s in college.

You're correct in that HS GPA and WE affect IQ growth.

I always assume a player who has played the defense in High School will start at C-. That seems to be the most common grade level.

Having a preference for a particular set doesn’t affect IQ growth whatsoever.
