I am in my 12th season at CMHMS in Rupp and took over a decent team at first, my first HD team ever. I had a good mentor and was able to get a good start in recruiting.
I had three straight 23+ win seasons followed by a rebuilding year and then reached the final four the next year in a 30-4 campaign. However, since then things have gone tremendously downhill and I have barely made the tournament the last three seasons.
I am wondering if I should switch my offense or be targeting different types of players? I have shifted toward a faster guard and higher ath lineup, but that will take one more recruiting period to finish getting the guards I want. I am open to any suggestions as I am tired of being mediocre.

I'm late to this party but the simplest answer is defense. You have too many bad defenders on your team.
I keep forgetting you play HD, b_l. You might be late but your answer is essentially correct. I would add that CMHMS takes way too many threes. Shooting a touch over 31% for such a big chunk of shot selection is horrific. Look at Duncan. As a SR guard, he would be shooting 54% if you took out his sub-standard effort from downtown. The DEF rating is a recruiting issue but the 3pt stuff is a fundamental game plan error.
