Double Season Prog.League 2002-2004-filled !! Topic

We have one opening in the 18th season (2002-03 and 2003-04) of a double season progressive which started with the 1968/69 & 1969/70 seasons. We progress 2 seasons at a time. Each season owners are able to select which of the 2 seasons they will use for each of their players, if the player was WIS eligible in both seasons. There will be adequate players available.

The team available is the Buffalo Braves (name can be changed and city moves can be made to an unoccupied city which fits geographically in the Central Division). We will be ready to begin the draft on about August 8.
With 24 games left in the 2000-01 and 2001-02 season the Braves have a record of 26-32, 4th in the Midwest Division and will probably be drafting around 10th to 12th in the 24 team league.

Buffalo owns all of their draft picks for the 2002-04 season and does not own any additional draft picks.

The Braves roster for the 2002-04 season is posted below.

There is probably 8 or 9 seasons left in the life of the league, plenty of time to build a winning team !

Since we progress 2 seasons at a time, player turnover in the league is rapid. Rookies for the 2002-03 and 2003-04 season include Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh,Amare Stoudemire, Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, David West and Manu Ginobili.

I would love to try a progressive league, but I am not quite sure I understood how it works... is there a kind person who wants to explain to me, please? I will be always grateful

Progressive leagues are great. They basically work like fantasy keeper leagues. Let’s say a league is using the 99-00 season. After that season the 00-01 league will start and so on progressing one season at a time. You get to decide which players you get to keep or cut and which incoming rookies you will draft. You can also make trades with other owners. You are pretty much the general manager of a franchise and get to run it season after season. They’re a blast!

Monty Williams should almost certainly be cut. Tom Gugliotta, Mark Jackson, and Robert Traylor are all possible cuts at the discretion of the new owner (Lee Nailon will have some good future seasons).
