Does anyone have any advice on signing recruits in period 1? I can never seem to sign anyone during the first period. Even if their preference is to sign early, they never sign. Signing them in period 2 is no problem at all.

Welcome to one of the dumbest things about having 2 recruiting sessions and the difficulty for new people to understand how recruiting works. This aspect of recruiting is not intuitive and can be confusing. You shouldn't have to ask questions on the forum to understand the basics of recruiting. Bad game design.

Go back to one recruiting session Seble.

to answer your question - D2 wont sign with D3 until session 2 and D1 wont sign until last 24 hours.

The design is fine. It’s perfectly intuitive that when recruiting guys expecting to go to higher level teams, they will wait to see if they get interest from higher level teams. If there is a problem, it is a lack of exposition.

Maybe D2 and D3 teams could get messages from their AD, instructing/reminding them that recruiting higher level players means you have to wait until the second session for them to make a decision.

Alternatively, the player’s signing tendency could be displayed specific to that school, such that when searching among D1 pool, those players would *all* show up “late”. That would have the added benefit of obscuring the *exact* signing period for D1 players recruited by lower level teams.

It's not easier to make D3 recruiting worse than it already is, but that would do it.

Agreed. I just had to work my *** off to pull a good D1 at d3. Had to sweat it out to the end, knowing a D1 could come in and snatch em. Had a couple come on near the end but he signed before they could get past moderate. As a D1 player though, those D1 guys should have had the chance to flip him. The fact that they couldn't made it that much sweeter. I signed 5 d2's, who should all be around 700s, four of them for only 400 AP combined and a D1 who'll hit 800+. How much easier should it be?
