After a long time away from the game I came back several seasons ago and have struggled to figure things out, but my friend is in D-I and I'm trying to get there so we can compete outside exhibitions. I coach Erskine in Allen.
I have two straight first round exits in the NT. This season I will be losing my starting PG and 4 out of 5 of my PFs and Cs. I have not signed a recruit yet but feel reasonably comfortable about adding a few decent bigs when it starts back up.
On the other hand, I could make a jump to an established school with few open scholarships in an attempt to slide back into the NT next season and hopefully do enough to get on the board for some D-I jobs. However, I don't know if the loyalty hit would counter that attempt.
I think I read somewhere that you need 3 NT games played to get to D-I. Any suggestions on how I should try to get there? While I am concerned about Erskine and my lack of bigs, right now the conference is entirely Sim AI and that makes me think maybe I should stick it out. (Although heck, Sim AI beats me regularly enough I know that's no sure thing.)
