I thought we were rebuilding but when we rattled off a big win streak and sit in the 1st wild card spot I realized this team might actually make it. I have two players in the minors that I are head and shoulder better than their ML counterpart but they both have a lot of potential growth left too. One is in his 2nd season after being the top IFA last season and the other is in his 3rd season. One is 21 and one is 20 and both in AAA. The AAA team has a great shot at the playoffs and more experience as well.

my current 1B cleared waivers, he’s a .725-.775 type OPS guy.

One is a project at RF, one of those horrible fielders/DH but his bat is just so good so I’m going to play him in RF. The other is a 1B and both are the best current and potential hitters in my entire organization.

we don’t have a great team but once you are in the playoffs you never know.

If they're better than the current ML'ers, promote them. They will still develop. I play my best players in the bigs regardless of age.

You messed the links up, you posted the same guy 5 times.

Yeah, those two are definitely big league ready.

Don't take the post season for granted, anything can happen so put your best guys on your ML squad and hope the horseshoe is on your side. I've been a #1 or #2 seed for 5 seasons and haven't sniffed the WS. The only time I made it (and got swept) was when injuries crushed my Top 2 SP's and somehow upset 3 100+ win teams to get to the WS. ANYTHING can happen, just get there!

I always play my best players at the ml level. In my opinion not doing that is tanking.
9/18/2018 3:08 PM
Exactly. It's very much tanking.

It's a bad opinion, but thank you for at least not calling it a fact.
9/19/2018 4:36 PM
Said by a true tanker.
9/19/2018 4:41 PM
If you are not playing your best players at the highest level then you are not trying your hardest to win. If that is what a tanker is then I guess anyone who does it is a tanker.
9/19/2018 5:29 PM
I was calling majnum a tanker, not you. He has tanked in almost every world he has been in.
9/19/2018 5:34 PM
I understand. I was to lazy to look at his history. Anyone who leaves better players in there minors is at the least soft tanking.

I'm talking more about service time situations. If you can still make the playoffs and keep an extra year of control by delaying your guy the 20 games I think it's perfectly reasonable.

Especially in a simulated world, where we don't have to worry about real life players not being fairly paid. In the real world, if that's tanking, 100% of the teams are tanking.

Holding back 21 games is understandable. Having a stud in aaa all year is not if your running crap like this on your ml team.
