This is my first draft with this team so I only have 14 mil in scouting. I I've never seen this and it seems strange Pitch ratings, such as 29 69 73 61 44. I think I read order really doesn't matter and always wondered if it doesn't, why show it. Now I really wonder, not enough to lose sleep but am I hallucinating?.

Order does not matter that much if your catcher has a very good pitch call rating. Your catcher will call the best pitches regardless of the order. But if your catcher has a low or mediocre PC rating, he will call the #1 pitch the most often, #2 pitch the 2nd most often, etc.

I'm pretty sure that it was in a dev chat that catchers do not actually call pitches and that PC rating is simply a modifier and that the order is relevant. In other words, the catchers rating simply enhances each pitch.

So what kind of logic would make a guy's best pitch his number 3 and his worst 1? And it wasn't just one guy. I figured it was more of this 'fuzziness' crap, after all if scouts can't say what the current ratings are, what can they know anyway.

Yeah, to me that 29 P1 is a red flag that the ratings you're seeing may be off by quite a bit.

To my eyes, once you drop below 16 mil scouting you see at least one obviously incorrect rating. Or combinations of things that don't make sense, like pitchers with 45 DUR and 98 STA.
