I picked up a team on which my predecessor recruited a player in phase 1 before jobs. He did not renew and I picked up the team and the player had already accepted the scholarship. Now at the end of my first season I am considering rescinding that player's scholarship even though I am technically listed has the coach that recruited him. What impact would that action have on my ability to sign other players?

If you ever get in this situation again, CS will change the recruits after you have accepted to the team to "sim" recruits. I do not know if they will do so after the entire season has passed or not. Would be worth the CS ticket to find out.

I always thought you were stuck with those who signed during phase1 - thats good to know wvu!

You are stuck with the recruit, but CS will change who recruited them to Sim. That way you can cut them after a season and still have some recruiting benefit for them.
