Ok so queue the "you should have known this already" responses, but I have a question that was generated by reading an old dev chat:
>>>>>
Q: DITR - Any chance of making them merit based? MinL record. Not trotting out 0 SPs. Coaching budget. Something other than backup C and RPs. They seem to be random now. (tufft - Hall of Famer - 2:15 PM)
A: Coaching is a huge factor in the DITR process. The 0% pitcher is interesting, we might be able to do something with that.
>>>>>
I'll freely admit that I wasn't aware of this (and didn't recall it being mentioned on a dev chat). Usually the discussion on DITR revolves around the usual criteria: OVR between 45-65, C with high AS, RP with high VEL, and so on and so on. (Not going through it all...)
So do coach attributes affect probability of getting DITR? If so - any evidence on what attributes? (MiLB coach patience? MiLB coach core skills? ML bench coach patience? others?) A VERY brief assessment of my league doesn't show any immediate correlation... but obviously i'd need more data across multiple leagues... thoughts?
