I have two players (one pitcher, one OF, if it matters) who were roster expansion call-ups last season. I didn't send them back down before season rolled over, so they are on my ML roster for spring training.

Can I send them back down without taking a ratings hit? I've seen some posts that say no; some that say yes, during spring training; and some that say yes, but only before the Rule 5 draft. Can someone clarify?

No penalty before Rule 5. Possible penalty during spring training (contingent on Patience rating)
