I have a player that will be a free agent at the end of the year. He says that he wants to test the market. We haven't started the season yet, so is there any chance he changes his mind? If I have a good season? Any possibility or is it just no hope?

I wouldn't say anything's impossible, but generally that means he's going to walk. If it's because he's been through arbitration three times, or his contract is ending and his Patience rating is below about 70, he was always likely to walk. You can plan ahead for how you handle individual players in the future.

Yeah, I kind of knew that going in. I just traded for him and gave up what I felt was fair if he didn't sign.
