Timing of CV/HV Topic

Timing of offering starts/minutes certainly matters - do it early. But what about the recruiting effort you pay for? If I’m eventually going all in on a player, and my opponent is as well, does it matter if one us unloads all 20+1 visits ASAP and the other spreads them out (but still gets them all in before signing)?

1) The timing of minutes promises only matters for players with a wants to play preference; minutes change the value of effort, as your preference rating goes from neutral to good or very good. Timing of promise to start doesn’t matter. There was some early miscommunication from CS which led to some misinformation on the forums.

2) The timing of visits doesn’t matter. There is no considering credit. Early visits mean the same as late visits; spread out visits have the same value per visit as bunched together in one cycle.

The one place where timing may potentially make a difference is when a number of teams are going after a guy - a recruit can only take 5 CV. So if you wait, and 5 teams have already done a CV, you will miss out on that effort.

That’s what I thought but just wanted to be sure I wasn’t missing anything. Thanks!

Just to clarify ...
"2) The timing of visits doesn’t matter. "
But "The timing of minutes promises only matters for players with a wants to play preference; minutes change the value of [ALL] effort, as your preference rating goes from neutral to good or very good."

Therefore the timing of visiits matters in that they can be more powerful after the promise of minutes. Visits and promises work in harmony, not independently.

You should unload 20-1 all at one time because its a dice roll game and not real life game.

Shoe—considering credit is completely gone from the equation under 3.0? Did the devs confirm this at some point? Not doubting or arguing with you, just curious as I know it was quite talked about before 3.0.

Yes. Considering credit is gone, except promises of minutes for a player who wants playing time, which modifies the value of effort from that point on. Confirmed in the beta forums.
