So against each defense what do you look for to distribute the ball shooter? Like 2-3 does PER get a higher distribution than a Post up guy? Thank you all for your help and site mails with info to my questions.

I think I can figure out against the zone defenses it's mostly M2M and Press I'm having trouble with.

For me, distribution varies by defense. I identify my own best options, based on where I expect the strengths and weaknesses of my opponents defense to be, and I try to attack those spots. Knowing that a 2-3 is generally a little weaker against the perimeter, and 3-2 is generally a little stronger, I will consider adjusting distribution among my scorers. Man is pretty straightforward, unless your opponent is moving his lineup around. Press can be tough, since you don’t know where the doubleteam will come from; but I tend to rely on my best scorers a little more, knowing they can’t be targeted for double teams (rather, the defense is always *trying* to double team). Beating the press is more about taking care of possessions, either by avoiding turnovers, winning the boards, or ideally both.

What he said. I've noticed that well built ball control teams are a nightmare for press defense. Against press I want really good ball handlers. Against zone I want really good passers. Against man I play the matchups
