Luck of the draw, and also playing time/Work Ethic. You sometimes get a green category that shoots from 13 to 100, sometimes it's a green category that goes from 13 to 34. No way to tell until you see colors change. If the Jr. didn't get a lot of time the first two years there might also be a lot of room for gain due to prior small gain years, or larger gains later in their career due to increasing work ethics due to PT/starts.
Yep, combo of high-veryhigh scoring potential, ramped up PT later in the career, and a modest starting work ethic.
David Ellis is a good example of this. Low green starting ratings in the scoring attributes. After a redshirt season and a couple seasons off the bench, he’s become a good scoring option. Of course, it’s complete luck on my part, he could just as easily ended up with 80 defense, and 50/50 LP/PER, and been a deep bench player his whole career.
