Do prospects get any benefits for their minor league teams making the postseason? I’ve had several prospects make back to back minor league World Series at multiple levels but it doesn’t seem to help their development.

If there is no benefit, then what’s the point of putting extra effort into making sure your minors teams do well?

They benefit from extra playing time which plays a large role in development.

Option A - A deep playoff run in AA.
Option B - 60 games playing under the MLB coaching.

Most guys in low and high a aren’t big league ready, but I thought that postseason play could lead to a development cycle for prospects. The guide hints at it but I’ve never see. It.

I guess plain and simple what I want to know is, can your prospects get extra development from minor league postseason play? It doesn’t appear so to me but maybe I’m missing something.

If they are going to get playing time at the big level, I personally think they benefit more from the big league coaching, but I don't have any hard evidence to prove this.

They allegedly get extra makeup in their offseason development

Also, if you promote at the end, the extra games accumulate onto the Promotion interval, you get extra coaching the further you get and the more games you play. Mass promote during the ML world series

Pjfoster13 wrote everything you need to know - the more games your players play, the more coaching (development) they receive. The year end promotion bumps can be just as large as spring training bumps if you time them correctly.
