When do draftees go away? Topic

Saving prospect money in case an intl FA comes along in the final days of the regular season, but if not, I have a decent amateur draftee that wants $5 mil. Anyone know when they go away? I assume end of regular season.

Draftees are available to be signed up till the WS ends. Remember that unless the player will sign for slot money, you should leave extra time for him to "negotiate."

By the way, Intl's stop coming after the last day of the minor league season (technically, they can still drop a half-cycle after the last minor league game). So safe to pay your draftee when the minor league playoffs start.
