A quarter of the way through the year:

Cody Bellinger is batting .407 with a 233 OPS+!!!

Hyun-jin Ryu is back. Haven’t heard his name in like 5 years.

Seems like everybody in the Dodgers bullpen has a .8 WHIP

George Springer has a 1.400 OPS since switching to the axe handle bat. Now batting .321 which as a Stros fan, hopefully this is finally his breakout season.

Ryan Pressly since joining the Stros has a .45 era and a .545 WHIP in 40 IP. Hoping he keeps it up cuz I’d love to use him in WIS and MLB the Show.

Roberto Osuna allowed his first walk the other day. RIP having a pitcher with a 9,999 BB/9+

Corbin Martin made his MLB debut yesterday and struck out 9. I went to Middle School with the dude at Spillane Middle School. He ended up going to Cy-Ranch HS and I went to rival Cy-Woods.

Mike Trout is repeating his .460 OBP from last year, on a much lower BA

Christian Yelich has cooled off a little bit and ONLY has a 209 OPS+
batting .338/.449/.746

and while we’re on the Brewers, Josh Hader is striking out OVER 19 batters per 9

Starting Pitching news

Rays Tyler Glasnow has a 1.86 ERA with a .910 WHIP and a 0.6 HR/9

Justin Verlander has a .820 WHIP but is allowing quite a few homeruns. 1.6 HR/9 that was in the 2’s until last start.

Hyun-jin Ryu has a .726 WHIP! to go along with his 1.72 era

And Chris Paddack (WHO??) CHRIS PADDACK!!!

Dude has a 1.55 era
0.689 WHIP!!!!
4.0 Hits/9
0.4 HR/9!!!
Dudes are slugging .196 off him!!!

Matthew Boyd continues to be everything Daniel Norris should be with a 2.86 era 0.934 WHIP and 0.5 HR/9

2 years ago he was on the roster bubble with many Tiger fans wanting him sent down, even after a strong spring. He was competing with Anibal Sanchez and fellow trade partner Daniel Norris for the final two spots in the rotation.

Byron Buxton currently has 15 doubles/100 ABs. If he gets that average up, he’ll be fun to use on here.

Paddack came back from Tommy John last season - in the minors he threw 90 IP with a 0.82 WHIP, 120 K vs 8 BB and only 4 homers allowed. He'll be on an innings cap this year so even some normalization of his great start will be capped! expect him to end up with 140-160 IP total, with 40 of those already in the books with astounding efficiency

how's this for an incredible pace: Javy Baez .323, 60 doubles, 47 homers, 209 k's ! that's a cool .464 BABIP

mariners started 13-2

since then 7-21

i'd put it in the believe it or not thread but only half of it is unbelievable
