Does a player have to be on the ML roster to be added to the playoff roster? I was under the impression that they only had to be on the 40-man, but when I attempted to add them it gave me an error saying that they had to be on the ML roster. Thanks.

Piggybacking off of this. Does a player have to be on your team a set amount of time to be eligible to be on the playoff roster? (Ie. Waiver trade). I see there’s a “Set Postseason Roster” event on my schedule soon. Is that the date you have to have players on your roster by? Or is that just when can start editing your playoff roster?

That's the date that players in your organization have to be on the 40-man by to be eligible. You can claim or trade for a player after this date and they will be eligible.

I'm confused. Who will not be eligible? Players that you claim or trade for? I claimed a player off waivers after roster expansion this past season in one of my worlds and used him in the playoffs.

I've claimed and traded for players after ML roster expansion. They were never allowed to be added to my playoff 25 man roster

Actually, you're right. I claimed him and added him to the 40 just prior to roster expansion.

Crap, just traded for a guy right after the deadline. Should’ve gotten that done earlier.

That makes sense though, should’ve known that based off the ML rules.
