Why would you buy a 5-pack if you're not making the NT every season?

You save $1 a season with the 5-pack, and the end-of-season $1.50 booby prize credits expire in just under two seasons. They burn off while you're still working your way through the 5-pack.

The math doesn't work... does it? What am I missing?

The math would be ok if you have multiple teams, when you can take advantage of the 1.50 before they expire. But for a single team, you’re right, it wouldn’t make sense to do it that way.

Thanks shoe. Good point about it working better for power coaches, which I certainly am not.

wow i saw this post before i had to renew today. Decided to purchase the 1 pack for $5.00 instead of the 5-pack. Man I used to be adamant on the 10-pack but not feeling like dropping a hundo on this game in its current state..

stupid questions here:
1) they dont let you use the $1.50 toward buying the 5pack?
2) if the answer above is no, then arent you still ahead of the game with 5pack if you make at least 2 NT out of 5?

Not stupid questions.

Yes, you can use those credits toward a second 5-pack. But for credits earned in the first 3/5 seasons, those $1.50's will expire before you're done with your first 5-pack. So you'd have to make additional purchases to use them... which defeats the purpose of buying a 5 pack. At least to me.

If you make the NT, you're good, those credits last a year. But if you're starting a rebuild, or taking a big 6, those NT bids are far from guaranteed.

If you're gonna be around to compete in Rupp with us, a 10 pack is certainly needed

Yes you're still there. I just meant..... can't build Rome in a day. Its going to take at least 5 seasons to get yourself competitive at a high level.
