Would you rather have a 75 fielding IQ, 60 patience coach or a 59 fielding IQ, 98 patience for development purposes? And by how much will it affect prospects?

75/60 No idea on actual affect. Im not sure id go lower then 75 in fielding unless I really f'd up. To be honest id want higher patience if going that low (75).

Agree. 75/60. 60 is high enough for patience rating, and anything less than 70 for fielding IQ is not acceptable IMO.

How much weight does patients hold...like for pitching coach per se is a 90/16 better than say 80/45?

I don't know if anyone really knows the answer to that. The way I look at it, patience and discipline over 40 is acceptable. As long as those two ratings are over 40, I just look for the highest skill coaching rating.

But I would guess that patience and discipline have more importance in your lower level minor league teams. As the players get older and more experienced, then I'd expect that the skill rating has more importance.

for fielding coach the most important attribute is IQ (intro year IQ determines max value because development is linear for everyone), the second most important attribute is loyalty.

I'd give the fielding coach his walking papers for an IQ that low. Its the one coaching position I am willing to pay top dollar on. 85+ minimum for me if they are available. The guy I have now for my SD team is the holy grail because he is a 94.

Yeah development is linear but then from what I can tell every coach has an IQ ceiling. Development looks like four points every season for the first seven or eight, then it slows down after that and stops around season 13 or 14. I give props to anyone who spends the time to develop his own FI from scratch, but that means at least one or two seasons with the guy's IQ in his 50s. Hopefully that doesn't put too much of a damper on your prospects at the time.

Fielding attributes continue developing long after the other hitting/pitching coaching attributes stop.

The very first team I ever inherited had 3 owners in 3 seasons beforehand, all 3 had 50 fielding IQ guys. My first season i acquired a 90+ IQ FI and all my SS/CF/3B/2B developed at maximum speed with +1s and +2s, even the guys with 3-4 pro years, it was like they were making up for lost time.

Thus, @hockey I have no problem developing a future mid-90s IQ with 100 loyalty, guys will get the points eventually on the back end.

Unless the guy leaves and you feel like an idiot. even the highest loyalty doesn't ensure they will stay. Similar to patience. I'd rather spend the money and make sure my guys are developing right from the get go. Its the most important coaching position. Why cheap out on it and take a risk?
