I am going through the same situation in two leagues and I'm hoping some of the veteran players can provide some advice.

On one hand, I have a 22 year old CF that is currently 82 overall, projected to be 94 overall with maximum advanced scouting. On the other hand, I have a 21 year old CF (different league) that is 81 overall projected to be 90 overall with maximum advanced scouting.

I understand the financial reason to wait, but from a pure development perspective - is there a detriment to calling them to the majors now? I want to make whatever move will best benefit their development.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming they play regularly, not at all. It can be argued that they will develop better PLAYING in the majors because they are with the best coaches. I personally play my best players in the bigs regardless of age because I am trying to win games.

This guy spent the whole season in the bigs as a 20 year old for me this past season. We are in the first round of the playoffs, so you can see a full season's worth of development in his 3rd pro season as an example.

That is a great example - thank you for the advice.
