I have a couple star players up for arb #2. One has 99 patience, the other has 60 patience. Is now a good time to sign either of them long term, or should I save a couple million dollars this season by going to arbitration?

I can't remember whether it's a bad idea to go through arb #2 in terms of being able to sign them long term later on, or if arb #3 is the one to avoid.

Arb 2 is fine. Sign them long term before their third arb hearing.

The only time Id do different is depending on what the arb asking price is versus long term asking price and there age. Will they be use full for the duration of the long term contract.

That’s a good point. Players with good physical skills don’t last as long.
