The ACC just finished the season with an A- prestige in D1 Knight ( 9 schools made the NT). I haven't seen this before! has anybody else?

you can go back and look at the old Allen-ACC. (The conference that broke HD)

Maybe around season 59-60. All 12 made the NT, with 11 winning and moving to the second round. 7 in the Elite 8, all 4 Final Four teams.

Back in those days the overall conference strength played a big factor in the individual team's prestige grade. I think all but Wake had A+ prestige. If I recall Wake went through a stretch of three seasons going 1-47 in conference and still maintained an A- prestige.

And the previous postseason saw all 11 human coaches make it to either the NT (1 CG, 2 E8, 2 S16, 2 2nd rd., only 1 1st rd. exit) or the PI (1 CG, 1 F4, 1 1st rd. exit). As oldwarrior noted, I know teams in older HD had more success, but it was a different game with recruiting, player progression, prestige changes, etc. I'm curious of the other strong D1 conferences that are currently active.

Also, anyone looking to rebuild Virginia Tech in our conference would be welcomed with open arms! About a year ago, Virginia Tech won the NC as the coach moved on to UNC in the conference. As the coach of Virginia, I'd love to have more competition within state borders.

Interesting feedback thanks guys! I will assume for now, that ACC D1 Knight has the record for the "new HD"!
