Admittedly, it's been a handful of years since I have played HD, but I am attempting to scout for recruiting and it's spitting back only 12 entire recruits in the nation. All of the settings for the search are set at the lowest level.

First, welcome back. I'm not sure when you last played, but the scouting/recruiting process completely changed a couple years ago.

In terms of scouting, there're a few different actions you can take. Most coaches like to host a camp, but I'm not sure if that's as economical at DIII. Then you can buy states around you, I would say either DII or DI. Stay away from DIII recruits. After that, all the recruits in your pool will be scouted, mostly, to at least the second level. They can be found under the Recruiting tab > Recruit Pool.

eh, I tried. It's just not a fun game. For whatever reason, I just cant get into the way that it's packaged. Not enough detail in some areas, and incredible minutiae that doesn't make it fun in others. thanks for your help guys
