Requirement to satisfy promised minutes Topic

Does any one know if you promise a player 15 minutes, at what number of average minutes do they start complaining? I have a guy on my Delaware State team I have only promised 15 minutes to, but he is at 13.1 right now with no complaints. I can't seem to get him more minutes. I don't want to start him in really tough games because I need to win all of those. If I start him in a blowout type game, he gets pulled out with only like 12 minutes. I am thinking 80% is the number, but I am not sure, and that would be 12 minutes, so I am still safe. The problem may take care of itself during conference play because a lot of those games will be blowouts where I can tinker with the lineup if I need to.

I promised a recruit 20, he complained at 18 (90%) -- no WE drop with 1st complaint. I jacked him to Tired and he ended season at 21.1 -- no more complaints, no WE drop. But my SEMO St was in a different position than your DE St team -- I was still building a talent base, couldnt win so wasnt trying to.

Edt: I did a get "youre a man of your word" email

There is no “80% rule”. From what I can tell, complaining about promises is a probability based outcome. If he isn’t at 15 minutes when the first assessment is made (~game 8-9), he might complain. Being closer to 15 reduces the chances that he will complain.

If he complains, the only way you’re “safe” is to give him enough minutes that he comes back with an all-clear email. If you don’t get another email from him, you might lose him, even if his work ethic is rising again.

I think, but am not certain, that having particularly low minute games hurts, as well. I think you're at more risk if you go 26, 2 than 14, 14, for instance.
