When you promote a minor league player during the world series - do you see the "Potential" ratings bump next season or should you see it right away with the 'promotion' ratings line.

i just did this in one of my leagues and looks like no one received the bump even though it shows the promotion line.

The promotion is not magical bump that you always see in the overall rating. A lot of factors enter into this:1. When did they last receive their last rating update?, 2. What is their work ethic?, 3. How old are they?, etc.

But after reading your first question....the bump does not happen with the potential rating. It happens with the current rating. The potential ratings won't get updated until the next season.

Promote between game four of NLCS/ALCS and game four of World Series. The significance of the bump depends on games played since last development cycle and obviously the caliber of the prospect.

I wasn't referring to projected ratings. I said potential because I know it dosen't happen every time.
I also did not know it was specifically before game 4 WS. That is super specific.

Is there any significance to the 4th game game of NLCS/ALCS? Is that when the minor league playoffs are over?

By the fourth game of the ML ALCS/NLCS, the other minor league playoffs are over. So anytime after this is fine to promote. However, I say before game four of the World Series, because if you continue to wait, the World Series could be over and then it is too late.
