Wow, what a night. The Parochial Vicar had too much wine, then we got into a conversation about the Catholic church changing its policy of celibate priests vs allowing married men to be pastors...the food was amazing. The women danced into the wee hours...then the AM games wouldn't SIM...wtf. He's working on a fix, if he hasn't done it already...happy New Year...where's my coffee?

I think the Church and all involved benefit from the change in tradition. Oddly enough the celibate tradition is not included in Canon law, is just a tradition dating back to the 14th or 15th century.

A lot more men would consider ministry as a career if they could marry. And the church would gain experienced counselors. The current tradition makes no sense.

Women can certainly make good pastoral leaders, as well as deacons. The old ways are very much outdated. Screw the conservative leaders in Rome...they need to get their heads out of the sand while they still have an opportunity to turn this around...

they would also need less lawyers.
