Has anyone come up with their best guess of which preferences are most valuable among these ?
So if you had to rate them 1 (highest) to 7 (lowest).

Distance
Style
Offense
Defense
Success
Conference strength
Coach longevity

I can tell you that distance and coach longevity are probably the most important.

Playing time is in its own category. I think it’s clearly the most important. Of the other 7, based on eyeball impressions of impact, related to how actions are unlocked:

1a) Distance
1b) Success
3) Coach Longevity
4) Style
5) Conference Strength
6a) Offense
6b) Defense

What about rebuild, does it have the same value as success? I wouldn't imagine it would.

It does IMO. But you have to take into account prestige. Wanting success magnifies a prestige advantage. Wanting rebuild mitigates it. So a C level team going after a wants rebuild recruit against an A level team will be closer to even footing (not looking at any other preferences, of course). A C level team going after a wants success recruit against an A level team will get blown out. The isolated effect of the preference is the same, but since it works in relationship with another factor, it can appear that the wants success side is much stronger, and I think that’s what you’re noticing.

Related, this is why I have success up so high. Any other single, isolated preference, beside playing time and maybe distance, isn’t going to make up that kind of prestige ground in a head to head, equivalent effort battle.
