yeah, its clearly not an ideal approach, but i applaud the guy for explicitly trying stuff to see how it works. i used to operate at all times under the mantra of 'its worth trading anything for knowledge' - i definitely think its worth it (and fun) to try stuff out and see how it goes, and in the long run, those trades will pay off. a lot of coaches in particular are afraid to experiment with their best teams, afraid they will screw it up and blow the opportunity - but IMO, those are precisely the teams one should be experimenting with! you can't learn how to coach a top team by experimenting with a mediocre one.
i think the obvious 1-sided nature of the team (begging for a +3 to +5) and also how he's not really optimizing diminishing returns - hes basically trading perfectly good reb, guard skills, and defensive abilities for more per scoring, when he doesn't need more per - those things are going to make the ceiling for these kinds of teams a lot lower than others. still a cool experiment though.
