If I cut one of senior's scholarship it will open up another spot on my roster I currently have 5 freshman who will come in and 1 on my roster who will be a redshirt freshman next year. Can I cut my senior's spot which would give me 7 freshman if I get this final guy. Can I redshirt one of the 7 freshman need the answer ASAP thank you

you can only sign 6 freshmen, so you would need to sign a JUCO or Transfer for the 7th player

And even though one will be a RS freshman, he counts toward your signing total for this recruiting class

Yeah so I signed 5 freshman and 1 juco could I sign another freshmen making my total 7 if you count my upcoming redshirt freshman. I will be redshirting on of the incoming freshman would this be ok

the most you can have is 6 freshmen on your roster at any time. you won't be able to offer a scholarship once you have 5 signed and a RS freshmen

If your goal is to build a giant class, one thing you could do is to recruit multiple ineligibles in a season first.

So for example.... class one has 2 ineligibles. Next season in class two, recruit 6 freshman. When the season rolls you will have 8 total players that have 4 seasons of playing time left (assuming you keep the grades above 2.7 for the 2 ineligibles in class one). 6 will show as freshman and 2 will show as sophomores

The drawback is when they all graduate, you will only get resources for 6 scholarships, even though you have 8 openings.

This is correct as well. And there's more drawbacks, such as, you team will suck for the next few seasons! I was really just touching on how to "beat" the 6 man class cap logic
