Fielder Fatigue Stat Discrepancy Solved, Der Topic

On a team I have right now, with five (5) games completed, King Kelly 1887 and Honus Wagner 1901 each have 25 PA tallied. Kelly's IP/162 is 723, Wagner's 721. WIS tells me Kelly has 12% more (810) than his his PA/162 and Wagner 8% more (777). Huh. An actual projection of 25PA / 5G X 162 = 810. If the PA tallies are correct, they're accurate about Kelly's 12.03%, but Wagner's is really 12.34%.

Looking at each box score and counting, I get to 24 PA's for Wagner, not 25. That would mean their projection of 8% fatigue for him is accurate (7.86).

No big complaint or disparagement. Just musing.

Also, have you ever had a pitcher show up at 100% ready to play and then right before the game, he shows 99%? I had that happen again, last night.

Is it the phase of the Moon?

Actually, it might be a phase of the Moon.

I think that maybe in Game 5, after Wally Moon made the last out, they credited Honus Wagner, the on-deck man, with a PA that he didn't get, yet they are not counting it in their PA tallies for calculating fatigue. Just a hunch.

Both seasons have unbalanced number of games played throughout their respective league. Perhaps a math error in there somewhere.

I am seeing a number of pitchers that their actual hits surrendered might be off as much as 20. I'm talking actual, not the prorated numbers...it certainly taints their OAV numbers...

Huh, DK, I think I remember ages ago, when they said they fixed that! 2005?

Remember when they made a number of improvements, but then rolled them back because they were supposedly too taxing of system resources, and/or too tough to manage? Hm....

it's because Wagner had seven PAs in one of the games, a maximum of six per game count towards fatigue

Hm. I knew that rule, 06, but I didn't count seven PA's using the Box Score (looking again)...

Thank you. It turns out he was hit by a pitch in one of his PA's, which is not a column there; it's just related beneath.
