I'll add a comment and upvote, but I'm kinda torn on this. It would be great to see more new players. But it also rewards SportHubs laziness and ineptitude.

Fair point. But if there's potential to help the game we all love, I'm all for it.

Personally, I've had more success with my friends than with trying to reach large groups of people.

Maybe we all just need to setup a booth at our local university's basketball arena. haha

Agree. This game could have so many more people if it used just some money on marketing. It doesn't even have to be a lot It's not that hard to run a Facebook Ad or Google Ad or basically anything.

I have had success bringing two people into the game in the past year. I agreed to pick up in a world I had dropped and start with them in D3.

I am fairly new and this will be my first season here at WIS. However at about the same time that I found this SIM, I also found the CJBL. It has been made by one guy for 22 years and he just opened up College teams (they ran in background for pro teams). He is up to 100 GMs and the second college season is about to start! You need Slack to get a login, follow this link https://join.slack.com/t/jblfl/shared_invite/enQtOTYyMzQ0MjY0OTE0LWFlMjNhMmE0YTFhNTkwYTRmMDIwZTQyODgyYTNkNzczNTY5NDJlMzAzMjQ4ZTAyODI1YTdiODYwMTBhMzgyZGE

I apologize if this breaks some code of conduct, not sure if we can talk about other games?

I have been playing since season 51. I've gotten 5 coworkers to play. Four are still playing and of those 3 have been playing for 3 calendar years and the other has been playing since season 71.

Kind of along the lines of what everyone has said here, I've had success getting friends and family in the game. One-on-one conversations have been far more effective than any attempt to reach a large number of people at one time. Once people try it, they seem to like it and, as long as someone is there to guide them so they don't get discouraged early, they tend to stick with it.

I posted in a college basketball discussion group on Facebook a couple months back. I got a few nibbles, but on one actually committed. I might try again as we enter March Madness. Maybe I'll word it differently.

But like Cub, I'm open to ideas. I'd love to see the game get an influx of new members.

This is amazing to me. I've tried to get at least a dozen people to play. And they are all 1 and done. I feel like it takes a special kinda person to wanna play this game. And they have to have padded pockets. To tell someone.... "look man, this game is awesome! And I'm great at it. But it took someone like me to spend $300-ish in order to get to the point where I'm never paying again. And if you're not that great, you may continuing paying small amounts of money forever! What do ya say?"..... isn't always going to get a response of "Sure! Why not!"

A video game costs $60ish and you keep it forever. And you play at your own leisure. $60 barely will scratch the surface of any success in HD (if the intent of the coach is to succeed).

So I think it really takes the right kinda person
