Both questions around playing time offers. If a player does not show a preference for PT, does offering minutes or starting matter and second what do you do with a guy who wants PT but is ineligible?

Offering playing time to a player without the preference give you a boost fo the one turn you promised them minutes. If they had the preference then you would get a boost every turn after the offer of minutes.

If you offer an ineligible player minutes and he does not become eligible to play then you do not have to honor the promised minutes the year after he sits out on your roster. So typically if i really want the player and he has a 2.0 gpa and unlikely to become eligible ill promise him the start and minutes if thats what i have to do to get him. Now know there is a risk that that guy will become eligible and i have to keep my promises but typically anything below 2.2 gpa does not become eligible often.
