I've got some questions about starting a custom SimLeague. The guys in my real-life fantasy baseball league are interested in starting a historical league to off-set the delayed MLB season. I'm a longtime Dynasty player, but I know almost nothing about this side of WhatIfSports, so your help is greatly appreciated. Here are my questions:

1. Is it possible to set up a custom SimLeague for 12-14 teams? How many teams do we need at minimum?
2. Can a live draft be held, or would we have to figure that out on our own?
3. Are SimLeagues head-to-head?

I hope someone more experienced answers, but from what I see, you can have 12, or 16 teams, but I don’t see an option for 14.

I’ve never done a LIVE draft, only on the forums, so idk.

You can hold a manual draft in a forum, or the draft wizard will set up the draft for you.

There is no longer a live, head to head version. The software is outdated, and has some conflicts that cannot be resolved until a complete overhaul takes place. You set your lineups and pitching including pitch counts, pull settings, and substitution hierarchies. The game is simulated. Other than unbalanced 30 team leagues, 3 games per day are simmed. Results complete with box scores are shown in detail.

To kick the tires, you have available a free Spring Training team to view and use the draft center, them play an abbreviated 10 game season.

Some advanced settings may or may not be viewable in Spring Training mode.
