I would recommend only one or two. This game is quite comprehensive. Don't get over your head.

Also space them apart so you don't have two offseason franchises at the same time. At least to begin.

I recommend finding someone who is successful and ask them questions.

If staggered, two probably manageable and can more quickly apply/learn principles. If overlapping, then game can be overwhelming. Even now I'm at 4 and find my interest and engagement shifts between teams.

I started with one team for my first three seasons. After my first winning season, I switched to three teams and have grown from there. If you are truly a new owner, it will take a bit to memorize navigation, schedules, budgets, what ratings you think make up a great player, etc. Once you have a good knack for all of the above items, you will need to focus on how to get said player(s) on your team.

I think I have a pretty good formula that turns a player's ratings into the player's statistical performance over his career. However, getting said player on my team is still a challenge. There are seasons where I have a pick in the mid to late 20's and one of my top three picks falls to me.. However, there are seasons where I have a pick in top 13 and I end up drafting the 8th guy on my board.
