This P cannot get out of his own way now. 22 hits in the last 10 innings and 15 earned runs. He's killing me in the BP and from his ratings he should be helping me.

He's a pretty average pitcher. He has a little growth left, but based on his current ratings he is probably a 4-4.5 ERA in a neutral park. So, he is underperforming. You're dealing with small sample size. If you keep riding him, his numbers will flatten out.

I'm not a huge fan of his control, but generally, small sample size.

Personally, I would flip Sano and Lee defensively, but some may disagree. Also, you could use a little better range in CF.

I had Sano and Lee flipped most of the season, but tried this to see if it strengthened my defense. My SS has committed more errors than I thought he would but I don't have another quality option there. Thanks for the input. My pitching has been my biggest disappointment this season.

As stated above, he will develop a little bit more in the next few seasons, but it won't be by leaps and bounds.

With his current ratings, I would have him at the below. This should improve a little bit as he develops, but right now he is simply underperforming.

In the AL:
Baa -- .266
Obp -- .348

In the NL:
Baa -- .256
Obp -- .338

Set his pull rating to a 1 or 2. His pitch count to 30 and 35 max. Set him to only pitch at 99% or better. HE should get you a 1.35 - whip and better after his rating top out next season. Do not give up on him.

Stick with him. He'll be fine. He'll pick up 2-3 more OVR points, and a couple more seasons of ML experience will do him a world of good. Improving your defense will also help.
