Does Not Renewing Hurt Your Application? Topic

In Rupp I am looking to leave, but depending on what D1 teams I am able to apply to, I may want to grab one. If I don't renew, does it hurt my chances of getting a good D1 team rather than renewing? Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

i think what folks are complaining ab is doing would be impossible if the answer wasn't no. but regardless, the answer is no, you are safe to not renew

I agree, it doesn’t matter either way.

Basically what bulls is likely asking, is he may only want to play D1 if he's eligible for teams he is interested in. So if he renews and isn't eligible for any job of interest, he'd have wasted a season. If he just lets his profile end, and then when jobs open, just maybe a day later, can he still apply for the same jobs he'd have gotten if he renewed in the first place.

I don't know the answer. But if anyone wonders why he's asking, I'd assume that's the reason. I've wondered the same myself

Yes, I have done this before. bulls will be able to look at job openings the same time he would have been able to if he renewed and will be able to apply to any of those jobs. Unless they have changed something recently, you should be fine doing this. In fact, I'd recommend it.

Yeah, i have no reason to think there would be any sort of penalty.
