Ok.....I'm D3, my team sucks (C-) and i'm looking to improve. I'm going after a D1 center hard. I'm at moderate level interest.....2 other SIM D1's are rated very low. He wants to sign early but hasn't yet. What are the chances he signs with me, if everything else stays the same. Not a ton of detail here i know, but just a general question. Thanks for any thoughts ahead of time.

You're probably actually high or very high. It won't let you go above moderate during the first recruiting period because D2/D3 teams can't sign D1 players until recruiting period 2. Once period 2 starts, you'll go to very high and sign him right away unless another team shows up.

Edit:. Just realized that you said D3. You won't be able to sign a D1 player until the last day of period 2.

When you are pursuing a D1 recruit at D3 you are capped at Moderate until the last 24 hours of recruiting period 2. If he is an early signer then he would sign with you in the 11pm cycle the day before period 2 ends, assuming you are the only team in signing range (high or very high).

When you say you are going after him hard, what does that mean exactly? Be careful putting too much effort into higher level recruits early because if a D1 or D2 human pursue they will easily sign him over you.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't know that. Yeah, i'm taking a bit of a gamble I suppose. The upside is i'm a bottom of the barrel type team right now, so worst case scenario, it takes me one more year on the rebuild. Also, this prospect is ranked around the #120 at his position. So would be a HUGE grab for me......maybe not so much for a regular D1 team.
