From an earlier thread, the 4M 4-th OF I'm wasting, it won't let me release him, says I'd be under playing time minimums. But I'd intend to immediately pick up multiple players (hit and pitch) that would make up the playing time and salary difference. Now what ?!

Secondly, and probly more important, when I was at the GM trade/WW/release etc page, I saw only a limited list of players available for waiver pickup, none a good talent or salary match for what I'm trying to do. I can't have access to anyone I want to pick up from the draft center ?

You are correct: The waiver is an extremely limited pool of players. That pool of players is common to all leagues in WIS. Players that get released by any team in any league will show up on the WW and be available to be picked up by teams in other leagues.

As for your first question, in an open league the sim will not let you make any move that drops you below 4800 PA or 1200 IP. So you will have to start by claiming a player with enough PA to keep you above that threshold.

The list is refreshed every so often (weekly?), so its quality and quantity will vary.
