how do I release a player without signing a player first? any help greatly appreciated!

I'm not in any leagues with the waiver wire right now but if you go to the waiver wire page in GMs office there should be a link somewhere right above the list of players on the wire that says something like "click here to release a player from your roster"

From GM office click on Waiver Wire, see note above list of available players. There is a red click here to release a player.
