Question from frustrated Topic

Is there a "screw you" factor when your team is not good? I have upgraded my talent but am still on the low end in D3.

3 times in conference play my team has had a double-digit lead with less than 10 minutes to play and has lost EVERY TIME. Things that didn't happen the entire game somehow happen with regularity in the last 10 minutes.

I was just neck-and-neck with a very average team that is very average at shooting FTs. They proceeded to make 15-of-16 in the last few minutes.

The setup of the game is really good and I really enjoy many of the features, including the recruiting process. But getting very tired of this shaftola bull ****. Any advice?

A quick glance at your team tells me that you are seriously lacking talent. What level (D1, D2, or D3) of recruits are you scouting and signing? This game is 80-90% about recruiting the best players. The other 10-20% is game planning, team building, scheduling, etc. If you have questions about anything feel free to shoot me a site mail. I will see it more quickly that way.

You are seriously lacking talent.

I have a lot of feedback on how you can get better.

Please shoot me a sitemail as well as tg.

Since you're asking about the last 10 minutes, I have a guess about why its even worse then. Your Ath/DE is *terrible*. Usually I like team averages near 50/50 at the worst. And towards the end of games, as your players are getting tired, you foul a ridiculous amount. Also you're taking waaaay too many 3s with terrible shooters. Williams is the only guy on your team who should shoot at all IMO.

Agreed. I also would focus all of your time on recruiting and scouting when you are at a rebuilding HD team. With that talent, the most gameplanning will do will give you a couple more wins. Your effort is better to be placed on recruiting and preparing for the future.

Unfortunately this game is a marathon also. And not a race. As others have stated, talent is everything. But it will take a while before you can really see your improvements having an impact. Evan elite coaches need 3-5 seasons to start seeing great results.

I didn't look much at your team. I just saw that you had 3 total seasons. But so you know, some of the things you're seeing that might seem ridiculous to you, they will taper off as you get better. There are 10+ point swings as times. But real basketball has that too. Teams always make a run.

Stick with it, have patience, there is a lot to like about HD
