The Phelan Report
Season 143 Edition 1

The WIS world of Phelan is one of the most competitive D1 worlds in all of fake basketball. Over the coming weeks I plan to write about the trends in Phelan. Who’s Hot, Who’s Not, Conference reviews, rivalry spotlight, and maybe coach interviews if im feeling ambitions. For those of you in Phelan please enjoy the first edition of The Phelan Report.

We are 4 games into the season and there are a few trends that are coming to light very early in the season. Here they are.

1. Is the A10 West the toughest Division in Phelan?
They have 3 top 10 teams and a 4th team ranked in the top 25. The other 2 teams in this division are up and coming George Washington and consistently solid St Louis who both are receiving votes. Sources say the A10 is looking to start a conference vs conference series in the coming seasons to prove they are the best. All Power conferences are welcome to start negotiations.

2. Early Season Favorite
Most people would consider the UK wildcats the favorite to win the championship this year but I cant look past Seton Hall and Coach Davis. Coach Davis has been, some would consider, the top dog in Phelan for a fake decade now. Hes won 5 Championships with Seton Hall and is in line for another one this season.

3. Who’s Hot
Id put Seton Hall here but that would be repetitive. So ill choose the current #3 team in the country Georgia Tech. This team has been on the rise for the last few seasons but this may be the year Coach Garbage get them to the final four.

4. Who’s Not
“The Island”, or as some call it Rhode Island has been a fixture in the rankings for over a decade now. They started this Season 0-4 which hasn’t happened in over 2 fake decades. Coach Broknee was quotes from the message board “The Island has turned into Atlantis... We are falling off into the sea....” after going to back 2 back final 4s just 8 seasons ago.

give it a shot! i love reading these things, i don't know why but they are pretty cool. its rather hard to do if you don't play there though!

Maybe when my schedule clears up a bit I will. I may be a bit biased though ;)

This is great. I love this post and will be continuing to keep up and see what your views and analysis is of this awesome world.

I think it coulda used a little more talk about Seton Hall. ;)

Yeah the run you've had since the EKU days deserves some talk. Ill try to do another one of these before conference play gets too deep.

Nick, any chance you write up a "Where are they now" section in your report or maybe make a 30-for-30 style documentary on Derek Templeman?

For those unfamiliar with Derek Templeman he was Senior transfer that was recruited by LilWizy to Kansas around 18 years ago. You can find a press release regarding him below:

"Fox Sports is reporting that the NCAA is opening an investigation into the eligibility of Derek Templeman as it has been reported Mr. Templeman claimed to have graduated from Graham High School in Bluefield, VA. There has been questions around the Kansas program about Templeman’s late recruitment and if Graham HS actually exists or if this could be a Bobby Boucher moment."
