Order of Jobs Applied Topic

Does the order of which jobs you apply to dictate the order that job logic has that will determine which job you get?

No. But it should. And I wish it did. That way you could apply for jobs in the sequence you prefer.

But it's all random, you could get the 1st job you apply for, or the 4th

It can certainly feel random, but it's really not.

Order of when jobs fill is a function of 1) the schools' 5 digit codes (visible in their team profile URLs), 2) when you apply, and 3) when and if other qualified coaches apply for the same job.

Beyond the first 24 hours, you still have to wait a certain amount of time before your application is considered, correct? If you spaced out your applications every 8 hours or so, I guess you could achieve a ranking of jobs.

But at that point, you might as well just wait to see if the first one is approved, and then apply for your 2nd choice. It also doesn't help if the jobs are all highly desired and won't last long.

Agree, the order you apply does not matter. Just this week I applied for 2 schools in the same cycle (after the last cycle but before the 11:59 PM deadline) hoping to get the 1st one, a C+ prestige. However, I got what I thought was my 2nd choice & my 2nd application, an A- prestige school. I rarely, if ever, have applied for 2 schools in the same cycle, so I wish I had thought through what you are asking sportsbulls.
